I am taking over Nerys’ title of MEC’s newest recruit (sorry Nerys!), joining the team in June 2011 as the Sales and Marketing Assistant. Two weeks after finishing my university exams, with a degree in English Literature and French, I packed my bags and headed down to the MEC office! I spend about half the working day doing jobs as varied as translating documents, answering our customers’ questions, sending out prizes to competition winners and badges to our loyal customers, and writing for the MEC blog. The other half of the day is spent drinking tea: we drink a lot of tea here at the MEC office, which is a bit of a cliché since we work with all things English!

When I’m not working, I love reading a good book, cooking (Italian and Indian food are my weaknesses), walking around London looking at the beautiful architecture, and going to the amazing art galleries that the city has to offer. That all sounds very cultured, but I’m also partial to curling up on the sofa and watching a rather embarrassing amount of television…
