Having studied English, journalism and comparative literature in Leipzig, I left the beautiful city our dear old Goethe called ‘his little Paris’ to experience the English way of life. I enjoyed it so much – especially the English sense of humour and the quality of the tea – that I decided to stay. In 2007, my dream of working in publishing came true when I was offered a job at MEC. I cannot imagine a better way of spending my days than being involved in creating resources that will hopefully allow students to enjoy learning the English language as much as I did. And I love a good debate on hyphenation and other editorial favourites. Although I have a much more relaxed approach to life outside the office, I do enjoy challenging myself. This year, I have started learning Arabic and I’m training for a half marathon. Wish me luck!
