Don’t panic I haven’t quite lost it yet! I have however found a webpage that contains a table of animal sounds in 17 languages. Click on the link below to find out where ‘ga ga’ and ‘caca-racá’ come from:

You could use this table to make an entertaining lesson for young learners or even adult students if they were in a playful mood. You could print it and cut out the English sounds asking your students to put the right sounds next to the right animal.

On the same theme there are quite a few websites with a bank of animal sound recordings. Here’s a good one below:

You could play ‘guess the animal’ with your students. Some of them are pretty easy but it could get challenging if you chose animals like squirrels and rabbits. What sound do they make anyway?!
